We have had the Spring equinox, evenings are lighter, clocks are springing forward and before we know it Spring has arrived. Of course, the sunny beaches of August are further forwards than Christmas is backwards but that won’t stop us being lifted by the sight of our tree lined streets and gardens turning green. Even that tired old window box will soon be springing back to life. Mind you, everything comes at a price because it’s also time to sweep up the last of the dead leaves and give the grass its first cut.
